Spouse: Virginia Koskovich Henn
10 children: Robert, Kathleen, Nancy, Connie, Lauri, James, Charles, Vikie, Joe, and Bernard Lee (died at birth).
Went to school at St. John the Baptist Catholic School in Petersburg, NE until 9th grade, but had to leave school to help his dad on the farm. This farm was 3/4 of a mile west of Petersburg, NE.
Joined the Army in 1942
US Army Air Corps pilot in World War II, flying for the 101st Airborne Division in Company C, 327th Glider Infantry.
Earned a Purple Heart when he was shot down by enemy fire but was recovered by US troops. While in recovery in the hospital, he was visited by his brother, Master Sergeant Jerome Henn.

Quit farming in 1967 and moved to Petersburg, NE, where he worked for Behlen Manufacturing in Columbus, NE until his death in 1979. Jay was my uncle and my Godfather.
