Roy Bravo, Sr.
After graduating from Omaha South High School. Roy answered the call to serve his country. In 1954, he joined the USMC, where he rose to the rank of Staff Sergeant in the Communications Corps. His assignments took him to Honolulu, Hawaii and Okinawa, Japan. While excelling as a Marine, he also competed on the All-Marine Wrestling and Boxing teams, embodying discipline, and resilience. Throughout his life Roy maintained that serving in the Marine Corps was one of his greatest honors. Even in the throes of dementia, the words Semper Fi could always bring a smile to his face. Roy was buried with his signature U.S. Marines baseball cap proudly by his side
