Hilger, Donald J.
Donald Hilger is from David City, Nebraska and completed basic training at Great Lakes Chicago Illinois. He served on the USS Camden supply ship then served on the USS Ranger CVA 61 in the Gulf of Tonkin, Vietnam. Don worked on the flight deck with catapults and arresting gear. He also worked below deck with supply and moving planes. The USS Ranger returned to Hunters Point naval shipyard, San Francisco where Don worked on the Ranger during the refurbishment and repair of the Ranger before it returned to Vietnam.
