The son of a WWII Normandy landing soldier, Glen was born in Mankato, Minnesota. Although Glen was originally stationed in Munich, Germany and could’ve served his entire enlistment there, Glen, inspired by his dad’s heroic, historic service to our country, volunteered for a duty station change to Vietnam. In typical Army fashion, Glen was awarded for his initiative to move to Vietnam by being assigned “honey-dipper” duty as one of his very first duties as a “new guy” in Vietnam.
