Terry J. Voss was born in Carrol, IA. He spent his early years through high school working as a farmer. While attending high school Terry had a disagreement with his principle which inspired him to enlist in the Army. While in the Army Terry was an Staff Seargent E-6 and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal with device 60, Vietnam Service Medal, and the Army Commendation Medal.
