Graduated from Plainview High School in 1966. Keith volunteered for service in the Army in 1968, graduated bootcamp from Fort Ord California. Attended flight school at Eustis Virginia. May of 1969 arrived in Vietnam, assigned to a fire base outside of Tay Ninh. He was part of an OH-6 air crew, flying scout missions outside of Tay Ninh. His call sign was "Zonk", because of the type of candies he liked to eat. In May 1970, Keith returned to the states and was assigned to Fort Carson in Colorado Springs to finish out the remainder of his time. After his service in Vietnam, Keith received his bachelor's degree from Wayne State, Masters at UNO and American College and began a career at Firestone Automotive. 1978 went to work for Farm Bureau Insurance along with marrying the love of his life, Deb. Keith and Deb have three boys, Kevin, Craig, and Brian. They reside on an acreage outside Creighton Nebraska.
