Ronald A. Haase
Ronald A. Haase was born on December 31st, 1944, and raised on a farm near Wayne, Nebraska. He graduated from Wayne High School in 1963 and then Wayne State College in 1967 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting. He was drafted into the Army on October 24th, 1967.
After basic training, he was sent to Clerk-Typist and Finance schools. He was assigned to the 413th Finance Disbursement Group at Fort Benning, Georgia and the unit was deployed to Vietnam in October 1968. In Vietnam, the unit opened a new payroll distribution office in Phu Bai. In February 1969, Ron was a part of a detachment sent to Quang Tri to open a satellite disbursement office. He left Vietnam in August 1969 with the rank of Specialist, Fifth Class.
After his discharge, he began his professional career with Ernst & Ernst CPA’s and successfully completed the Certified Public Accountancy (CPA) exam. After gaining experience with E & E, he served as Chief Financial Officer for companies in both the wholesale/retail and electricity/natural gas industries. He retired in 2012 and was then able to increase his participation in several Veteran and Church groups.
