Jim is Chief Financial Officer of Timmerman & Sons Feeding Company, a diversified cattle operation which is in the cattle feeding and ranching business. Timmerman & Sons owns and operates locations in Nebraska, Colorado, South Dakota, and Texas.
Jim graduated from the University of Nebraska in 1967, with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. After graduation, he accepted a commission in the United States Army. As a First Lieutenant, he served in the Fourth Infantry Division as an Infantry Platoon Leader, where he was awarded The Combat Infantryman Badge along with two Bronze Stars (one for valor) and an Air Medal.
Jim came back to the family business in 1970 to join his three brothers in the cattle operation. All four brothers are still in partnership today.
Jim is married to Margie and they have 6 children and 4 grandchildren. He and Margie live in Omaha, Nebraska and are members of Mary Our Queen Catholic Church. Jim has served on numerous charitable boards. He is currently on the advisory board of Habitat for Humanity of Omaha and a board member of CUES, which operate three Catholic Grade Schools in Northeast Omaha for underprivileged children.
