Thomas A. Wagoner Jr.,

Mick Wagoner is the founder of Veterans Legal Support Network and works in the insurance industry in Omaha. Raised in Grand Island, he is a 3rd generation Nebraska lawyer and graduated from Creighton Prep and the University of Texas. He was commissioned a 2ndLt in the United States Marine Corps in 1989. Initially assigned as a Motor Transport Officer, he deployed to Saudi Arabia in 1991 and to Somalia in 1993. He left active service in 1993 to attend the Creighton University School of Law and earned his JD in 1996.

Following graduation from law school he rejoined the Marines on active duty as a Judge Advocate and was assigned to Parris Island, South Carolina. At Camp Pendleton, California with the 15th MEU, he made two deployments, one to Afghanistan in 2001 and a second one with the invasion of Iraq in 2003. Following both deployments, he attended advanced schooling and taught at the US Army Judge Advocate General’s Legal Center and School in Charlottesville, Virginia. He was then assigned to US Special Operations Command (SOCOM) in Tampa, Florida and finally to Iwakuni, Japan. He retired from the USMC as a LtCol in 2013. He is married to the former Susan Ingram of Council Bluffs, Iowa and they have four wonderful daughters.
