“Growing up in the ‘60s and early’70s, I witnessed the Vietnam War unfold on the evening news. I saw the effect the war had on older friends and the absolute horrible treatment they received on their return. To me, this memorial is a long overdue thank you to those who served and a valuable lesson for future generations.”
