Short narrative about the Veteran:
Robert Brown was born on Fort Francis E. Warren Army base where his father was serving. After losing an eye in World War II, Robert’s father was discharge in 1944 and moved his family to Omaha Nebraska. Robert grew up in Omaha and after graduating from high school began working for the Metropolitan Utility District (MUD). While working for MUD, Robert and several friends decided to enlist in the Army Reserve 172nd Transportation Unit at Ft Omaha NE. In 1963 the 172nd Transportation Company was deployed to Vietnam.
